Description Inspiration for my Garden Slug Earrings Garden Slug Earrings! A very good customer of mine approached before Christmas 2020 and asked could she commission a pair of Garden Slugs for her daughter who loves all kinds of creepy crawlies. In fact, she has an Instagram page called “The Slug and Snail Appreciation Society”. You should check it out – they really are quite endearing! This was not the usual type of request I receive, although I have been asked recently to do some Woodlouse earrings, so perhaps this is a trend. The common Black Slug, Arion Ater, has a lovely mix of textures which work great in oxidised silver. As with all my earrings, where possible, I try and make a left and right version of the creature so they hang the same way round, and these are no exception. Remember there is the slug-snail combo option too! Why not accompany these earrings with one of my rings , the frog and lilypad ring, receives a great deal of “ooh’s” and “aah’s” at my shows.
