Description Inspiration for my Girdled Snail Earrings These Snail Earrings were modelled on the little common Girdled Snail to companion my Slug Earrings. A mother wished to commission a pair of Slugs for her daughter who loves all kinds of creepy crawlies. She calls herself the ‘Slug and Snail Appreciation Society” on Instagram and has totally changed my opinion of slugs. Go on – google her. You won’t regret it! So having modelled my slugs, I thought that she might like a snail and slug as an alternative to her matching slugs. They were rather well received! These are sold as either matching pairs of snails – stud or drop earrings. Or alternatively you can mix it up with the slugs and have one of each – again stud or drop. Of course, once I’d finished these, the other options slowly emerged – so now you can have snails in whatever format takes your fancy. As the models of the snail are solid, they make slightly heavier studs.
