Keith Brymer Jones‘ passion for pottery began aged 11. His then art teacher encouraged by him to make something with a lump of clay. The pottery owl he crafted during that class was his first ceramic creation. Undoubtedly, this led to the start of Keith’s journey to becoming the master potter that he is today. Keith is a passionate advocate for art, craft and design education. As a result, he was appointed as a patron for The National Society for Education in Art and Design. In 2019, Keith received an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from Staffordshire University. He received it for his continued work with the University as well as the city of Stoke-on-Trent, the home of the pottery industry. He continues to talk passionately about his work and the wider arts community at various events across the country. The design stage of each new product and the perfect prototype starts on Keith’s potter’s wheel in his UK studio. The full production then takes place in China. Unquestionably, a country with a deep-rooted history in expert ceramic production. Keith works closely with a team of highly skilled craftsmen to perfect the delicate production process. So they ensure each mug, bowl or jug matches the same style and high quality of his original design. Keith is proud to manufacture his ceramic ranges responsibly in China.
